“Every Movement Has It’s Moment”

What's Your Wheelchair“Every movement has it’s moment… And this is ours.” Christopher Reeve uttered those words a decade ago, not too long before he passed away due to complications from a secondary issue living with SCI can present.  Now, ten years later, the moment is bigger than ever before.

The following video introduces Rob Summers, a young man living with SCI.  His initial injury is as close as I could find to mine… That is why I wanted to share his story in particular with you. There is a new therapy for individuals living with SCI called epidural stimulation.  The video will explain it better than I ever could in simple terms.

Only six months ago, the program Rob Summers is a part of was the only one of its kind.  Today, we’re seeing epidural stimulation therapy programs popping up at numerous research facilities across the country.  We are living in breakthrough times in regards to science and medicine.  This is not the first video I’ve shared with you about epidural stimulation, and it won’t be the last.
