Remember the ALS Challenge?

HopeWho would think any good could come from pouring a bucket of ice over your head, and then challenging someone else to do it? Sounds like something that happens on an elementary school playground!

Whether it’s a bucket of ice, a jar of spaghetti sauce or doing a handstand while saying supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, challenging another individual to do the same is the key. Why? Because sharing a challenge with another individual is the way a snow ball starts and gets bigger and bigger and bigger.

ALS is an extremely challenging disease. It hits you hard, and the degeneration is fast.  It paralyzes you inside and out, and some individuals experience degeneration on a daily basis. They go to sleep at night, being able to wiggle their fingers, and wake up the following morning unable to.  Imagine knowing that was your physical future?

So what is accomplished by millions of people sharing a video on social media of them pouring a bucket of ice over their head and challenging someone else to do it? Check out the video below to find out!
