Self-improvement information is it available to us easier than ever, largely due to social media and the Internet. You can read inspirational quotes by the dozen on Facebook and Twitter, you can purchase a book on Amazon and have it instantly available on your device of choice. Or, you can even follow a particular website you find interesting and read inspiring stories and videos posted there by an absolutely fabulous writer who… Okay, I’ll stop. 😉
But what about your own story? People can tell us how capable we are, how talented we are, things are going to get better and they believe in us, etc. They might even reference a time in the past when we were experiencing challenges and came out on the flipside smiling. But do you have your own story from the past of you seeing yourself overcoming something challenging, and it restores your belief in yourself?
If not, you should. Regardless of what people tell us about ourselves, it’s what we think of ourselves and what we think we are capable of that is going to be what ultimately lifts us out of our temporary gutter. In the video below, I shared my story that reminds me I can do anything. I feel my spirits rise every time I think of it… That’s how powerful it is for me. It may seem significant to you, or it may seem a bit silly. But it works like a charm for me, and that’s what’s important. That is why I want you to find your own story.
